Abstract

Nanomaterials, especially mesoporous materials, have been studied for more than20years, and showed promising applications in several fields. Mesoporous carbon materials are a kind of porous materials with many potential applications. Choosing a suitable synthesis route, studying the stability and feasibility of the synthesis process, realizing their production in large scale, is a significantly important researching project. This thesis focuses on the preparation process and pore evolution of a body centered cubic mesoporous carbon material (FDU-16) with three dimensional connecting pore structure. We devote to support some fundamental reference for the pre-preparation of porous materials in the future. In the second chapter, we use resol as a carbon resource and triblock copolymer Pluronic F127as structure directing agent, synthesize a highly ordered body centered cubic mesoporous carbon material (FDU-16) with opened pore structure through the evaporation induced self-assembly at the interface of PU foam. The porousity of FDU-16can be improved (SBET increased more than57.8%, total pore volume increased about50.0%) through introduce a second thermal polymerization in higher temperature (130~150℃). Meanwhile, we systematical investigate both the Resol/F127ratio and thermal polymerization temperature to the mesoporousity of FDU-16.In the third chapter, several kinds of oxidative gas were used to etch the framework of FDU-16. We study the effect of etching duration, temperature and gas composite to the structure of FDU-16. Experiment results show that, high temperature CO2etching (500~700℃) and low air content(10%, volume percentage) air-nitrogen mixture one-step calcination can efficiently open the mesopores of FDU-16, SBET and total pore volume of the obtained samples increased considerable ly.In the fourth chapter, we firstly propose a low concentration alkaline hydrothermal treatment of as-synthesized mesoporous polymer/PU foam composite to synthesize a body centered cubic mesoporous carbon material (FDU-16) with three domesional connected pore structures and opened external pores. Controlling the degree of polymerization, optimizing the hydrothermal treatment condition, we can successfully extend this method to synthesize other kinds of mesoporous materials with improved porousity. At last, we evaluate the synthesis feasibility of this body centered cubic mesoporous carbon material when it was prepared in pilot scale through sevral aspects, such as, the raw materials cost, preparation process and yield, target output material mesoporousity and potential applications.
