Abstract

The synthetic technology of raw materials is the premise and key factors on preparing high performance transparent laser ceramic materials. In this thesis, Cr3+, Nd3+:YAGG ceramic materials were prepared by the Urea coprecipitation, Ammonium bicarbonate anti-drop coprecipitation, Citric acid sol-gel combustion method and EDTA-Citric acid sol-gel combustion method. The phase change process, composition, morphologies and fluorescence properties of the samples were characterized by XRD, TG-DTA, IR, SEM and fluorescence spectra. The results of XRD, TG-DTA and IR indicated that the pure YAGG powders were obtained when the samples were calcined at800℃for4h. SEM images reveal that the Cr3+, Nd3+:YAGG samples are one-dimensional with a diameter of60nm, which the samples were prepared by EDTA-citric acid sol-gel combustion method, but the particle size was smallest when the samples were prepared via Urea coprecipitation, its particle size is about30nm and its dispersion is poor. Meanwhile, the different burners had different effects on the morphology and particle size of the samples. The fluorescence spectrum showed that the strongest emission peaks of the samples is1064nm, correspondingto4F3/2-4I11/2transition of Nd3+. And the energy transfer from Cr3+to Nd3+was observed.
