Abstract


Field Emission Display (FED) as a new type of Flat Panel Display (FPD).It has much good property, in brightness, visual angle, response time, running temperature range, energy consumption, compared with other FPDs. However, fabricate a material with high field emission performance is remain a challenge, which limiting the development of Flat Panel Display. The property of cathode material is limited by a strong screening effect. It’s need to reduce the density of DLC nanaotip arrays. The density of DLC nanaotip arrays could be adjusted by the pore density of AAO. In support of theoretical analysis, we prepared the AAO with a pore density could be continuously adjusted by a series of experiments. Combined these two works, we studied and explored the preparation process and growth mechanism of AAO template systematically. The DLC nanaotip arrays with a high regularity and controllable density is fabricated. The main reaserch works are presented below:1. Based on the theoretical analysis, by changing the anodizing voltage and the type of electrolyte oxide, we prepared the AAO with a pore density could be continuously adjusted from1.479x109/cm2to1.139×108/cm2. It is found that the interspace of pore is linear with the oxidation voltage, D=kU+b, b is constant.2. We improve the regularity of the AAO template via adjust the electrolyte concentration. Combined these two works, we studied and explored the preparation process and growth mechanism of AAO template systematically, which could be used for future work as theoretical and technical guidance.3. Based on the above work, a series of AAO templates with funnel-shaped openings was prepared to avoid the unfavorable condition and prepare nanotip emitter arrays.4. According to the above experimental parameters, we prepared various pore density of AAO template with funnel-shaped openings, and combined with magnetic filtered cathodic arc plasma technology, we prepared the DLC nano-tip arrays film in vacuum environment, it can be used as the cathode material in the further to improve the field emission properties.
