Abstract


In recent years, the iron ore price in our country is increasing by the effect ofinternational iron ore monopoly price. Our country has rich iron ore resources butlean, and uneven distribution. Iron mine investment projects in the domestic havehigh profits and risks. Risk management in iron mine project, including riskidentification, risk evaluation and control risk, has very important practicalsignificance in iron ore mining and processing.The tenor of ore of Maozixi Iron Mine is higher, but the geological conditionsand the geographical environment there is very special. The price of the iron oresupply in Hunan province is related to the C.I.F. price of China’s imported iron ore,and the sales price has been closely related to the volatility in domestic iron oremarket to a larger extent, and is closely linked with the domestic macroeconomicenvironment and steel price in the market. Aiming at the risk of iron ore production,the risk of price and variable cost change, the risk of mine accident this paperperformed qualitative and quantitative analysis for the investment project. Withrespect to the project’s major internal and external risks, the article established thequantitative analysis model, and applied sensitivity analysis and Monte Carlosimulation. Sensitivity analysis on financial criteria is the main method to evaluatethe risk.Iron ore mining and processing have their own characteristics, and face all kindsof risks. The paper focuses on two vital risk factors: iron ore prices and mineaccidents. Through establishing the project risk management system and estimatingthe degree of impact of the risk, this paper explores management measures for the riskcontrol.
