### Abstract

 The enactment of Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Schools in the Basic Concepts section puts a mark on learners’mathematics studying materials which should be practical, meaningful, and challenging. These contents must exert great benefits to students, and lead them to mathematical activities such as observation, experimentation, conjecture, inference and exchange. The general aim of Mathematics Curriculum Standards is enabling the students in Compulsory schools to find links between the nature and the society and understanding the true value of mathematics. Mathematics instruction should seek teaching methods from reality, for principles of mathematics can be found in many questions and phenomena in the real world. Since mathematics teachers should keep an eye on providing some eye-catching study materials to help learners to acquire knowledge in the daily routine teaching process,students could do some research on practical questions from a mathematical perspective with these teaching materials and instructional methods. Then students could find these problem-solving strategies, using the knowledge they have learnt. As a result, students’problem-solving ability could be cultivated.As we know, just as fish cannot live without water, mathematics is an indispensable part of everyday life. Mathematics knowledge is originated from daily life. Those definitions, formulas, and theorems can be found in the real world, so mathematics teachers have to add spice to their classroom teaching and make the drab definitions, formulas, and theorems lively and interesting. Thus the students can have a better understanding about the definitions, formulas as well as the theorems. Mathematics will no longer be a stranger from a learner’s perspective.In the research background mentioned above, we present three research problems:1. What is mathematics teaching contacted with life?2. How do the primary school teachers do in terms of mathematics teaching contacted with life at present?3. How to contact mathematics teaching with student life?To sum up, this article attempts to analyze the problems outlined in the survey from different angles for the sake of finding the real causes of these problems. Based on the above-mentioned evidence, the author has come to the following specific strategies on mathematics teaching.
