Abstract


Bank is a credit providing financial institutions, which have several businesslines such as deposits, loans, exchange, savings, and etc.The Pudong Bank Harbin Branch’s (Pudong Harbin) operation process is stillthe same as the traditional process which usually used in the state-owned commercialbank. The main profit source in the bank is the price difference between deposit andloan which can get interest income by the control on capital. The services in the bankmarket always the same. All the banks are very difficult to found a preponderantservice on both intermediate products and derivatives. If Pudong Harbin want toagainst with other competitors in this limited competitive climate, it also need to facethe hard problems like increasing risk and decreasing on benefits. All those problemswill abate Pudong Harbin’s competition ability greatly in the market. The study onthe new intermediate products becomes more and more important for Pudong Harbin.Those products have to provide the Agency Payment business on the customerShort-term financing and get a stable income from it. At the same time thoseproducts should not take the bank’s own funds or the quota of external debt. Thisstudy will effect the development of Pudong Harbin directly.This issue will studied from six points, and concluded that Pudong Harbinalready have all the ability to conduct the agency payment business. Those six pointsare including macro-economy studying, theories of international investment andfinancing, the significance of conduct the agency payment business, the challenge ofconduct the agency payment business, the necessity for Pudong Harbin to design thisproduct, and the feasibility of this product. I try to exploratory the feasibility ofagency payment business for Pudong Harbin in the study. And the works will focuson how to build the product standards, how to prevent all risk in this product, andhow to strengthen the internal control system for our bank. Basis on the analysis ofthe Agency Payment business, the built of Agency Payment business department, and the connection between different departments and risk prevention in this product. Ialso supply some supporting measures and countermeasures for the possibleproblems during my issue. I hope my study and research could offer some inspirerfor the people who interested in this area.
