Abstract


The iron material which used in actual production in Baotou steel are main、east、west ore(mined from baiyunebo ore) and regrind ore(bought outside of inner Mongolia).In2011, because of pollution two90m2-sintering machine in NO.2sinteringworkshop of Baotou Steel has been closed. It caused sinter ore descend.Meanwhilethere will be produced a grate-kiln program which could produce pellets with2.4million per year in Guyang of Baotou Steel. It cause pellet ore raise. These two changeresult in different proportion of pellets in BF. So it need to do system research onrational allocation about pellets production.This text grounded on realities of situation of Baotou Steel. It use barun ore andregrind ore to make pellets, to study rational allocation and to study pellets nature afterthe basicity raised. we research the basic feature of these two iron ores, the reasonableproportion and the different nature of pellets which of different basicity. The maincontent of research as follows: the chemical constitution and grain constitution of ironore, the nature of green-ball (content moisture, shatter strength, compressive strengthand decrepitation temperature), the nature of fired pellet(content chemical constitution,compressive strength, wonderful reducibility and reduction inflation rate) andmicrostructure. The result showed that:The rate of nucleation of Barun ore is batter than regrind ore. Barun ore could notused in make pellets it could mix with regrind.In the test of apropriate proportion of these two ore, we found that the reductioninflation rate of pellets rose with the proportion of barun ore. Grounded on thecompressive strength and reduction inflation rate, the proportion of barun ore could notover30%.Based on the proportion of barun ore30%and regrind70%, we add slaked lime toraise the basicity of pellets. The result shows that the reduction inflation rate be changedup then down with the change of basicity. When the basicity is about0.24or over1.18,these pellets could fit the commercial run.
