Abstract


In recent years, asphalt concrete pavement has been widely used with thedomestic development of economy. Hot mix asphalt concrete consumes a large amountof energy when mixing and produce a large amount of asphalt fume when paving. Thusit causes a lot of energy consumption and air pollution; meanwhile it bringsinconveniences to construction work. In this paper, I will use normal temperaturemodified asphalt, which is normal temperature asphalt ACMP-2Model R&D andproduced by SICHUAN XINGONGGU BUILDING MATERIALS COMPANYLIMITED. This asphalt mainly configured through adding special thinner to thermalmodified asphalt. In order to obtain a better application of this normal temperatureasphalt, I studied the performance of it by different gradation and get the followingconclusion:①Combining the actual situation of Chongqing with contrast among gradation,adjust normal temperature asphalt mixture AC-13, normal temperature asphalt mixtureAC-16, normal temperature asphalt mixture AC-16, normal temperature asphaltmixture SMA-13three gradations; based on standard experimental method, checkingthe various technical indications of this three different gradation mixture, the resultreach the specification requirement on the whole.②Through Marshall Experiment, Marshall Performance of the normaltemperature asphalt mixture is generally not as good as thermal modified asphaltmixture; for normal temperature asphalt mixture among different gradation,deformation resistance of stone matrix asphalt is not good.③High temperature performance uses Rutting Test. Stability degree of normaltemperature asphalt mixture is not as good as thermal modified asphalt mixture; fornormal temperature asphalt mixture among different gradation, continuous densegradation has a better rut resistance, but the gradation of stone matrix asphalt is notgood.④Moisture stability uses water boiling method and Immersion Marshall Test. Thetest shows that water performance stability is less affected by gradation. Waterperformance stability of thermal modified asphalt mixture is better than normaltemperature asphalt mixture.⑤This paper puts forward the normal temperature of asphalt mixture construction technology and the construction control parameters; And the road paving, furthershows normal temperature asphalt does not apply to the asphalt and hoof lipidgradation.
