With the world’s rapid population and economic growth, the demand of energy, mineral resource increases sharply. The development of the continent’s resources hasnot adapted to this growth, the development and utilization of sea oil resources hasexpended rapidly. Rich oil resource is distributed in Beach area, building sea accessroad, which end connect to the artificial island, becomes the new oil fielddevelopment in this region. Because of the poor geological condition in Beach area, the stability of building is poor. Most of China’s current sea access roads are physicalstructure, which can change the trend of flow field, affect the sand movement, causethe deposition and erosion.Permeable structure is a kind of light structure, which can significantly reducethe evolution of surrounding beach. Therefore, it is important to find out a new safe, economical, suitable permeable sea access road for the development of oil field. Thestudy for permeable sea access road has a good prospect. In this paper, two kinds of permeable sea access roads are researched: boxculvert sea access road, pile and plate combination culvert sea access road. They willbe chosen to build in the area which depth is2.1m to3.5m in Shengli-Qingdng5#area. The main research work includes:(1) Conduct numerical simulation of flow field by using the specialized softwareMIKE21, obtain that the permeable structure is better than the physical structure. Theincreasing of empty rate can suppress the erosion. Suggest that it is necessary tocompact the north side of sea access road dam root and the surrounding of artificialisland.(2) Physical model test of pile and plate combination culvert sea access road hasbeen made, to test the stability of the upper structure of the road, and to measure thebuoyant force on the upper structure. The test was conducted under two cases: the upper structures were3.5m and7.0m wide, and seven kinds of water level, from+1.00m to+3.55m, were considered. Wave height of limit fragmentation was used. The stability teat indicated that: the upper structures remained stable in thevertical direction under all water levels; the worst operating water level of7.0m wideroad was+2.20m, the upper structure moved in lateral in the horizontal direction; theworst operating water level of3.5m wide road was+3.00m, the upper structure madea small lateral displacement in the horizontal direction. The buoyant force measurement test indicated that: the maximum of the buoyantforces on3.5m wide road was less than the net weight of the upper structure in everywater level; the maximum of the buoyant force on7.0m wide road was1419.70KNin+3.55m water level, which was greater than the net weight of the deck,1185.20KN. But there was not included in the greater vertical downward hydrodynamicpressure, which was favor of the stability of the deck. So paying attention tostrengthening the intensity of the hoop was advised.(3) The paper comprehensive analyzed the calculation method of the ice loaddomestic and abroad and finally adopted the2010version of The Standard for thePort Engineering Load to calculate the ice load of the permeable structure. The iceload of the wall thickness of30cm and40cm on each box culvert sidewalls were376.7KN and449.97KN; the ice load of the pile and plate combination culvert oneach sidewalls was1632.96KN; the ice load of the two kind of roads on upperstructure both were388.8KN. The proposed structure type was box culvert sea accessroad.
