Abstract


Rock bolt foundation is a type of bolt foundation that cementmortar are poured into the rock hole and common steel bars are used as anchors. Thefoundation of the rock anchor give full play to the mechanical properties of theundisturbed rock mass, it has good uplift performance; the rock anchor reduce theconsumption of concrete, steel and other materials. In some remote area whichprovides poor transportation situation, it can not only greatly reduce the project cost,but also decrease the destruction of the original landscape and benefit for vegetationand protection of the ecological environment. Based on the above advantages, rockanchor foundation has been widely used in engineering.In this paper, based on metallurgical industry workshop, the design andcalculation of foundation is carried on. The site of plant workshop is located in theseaside of Bayuquan Development Zone, the rock is the layered structure of the shale,the rock mass is very dense, rock layers are almost level, slightly tilted, the bedrockhas a high bearing capacity. In order to fully utilize the high bearing capacity, the rockbolt foundation is chosen as the final design plan. During the calculation process, withreference to the calculation principles and methods of the foundation bolt in steelcolumn foot, the anchors are provided in the edge of the foundation which results insaving about30%to35%of the total funds for foundation investments, and providingwith enough capacious space for the large equipment foundation in the factory.Through the single anchor non-destructive static load test, the actual upliftbearing capacity of single anchor is determined, which is used to tell whether it meetsthe requirement with the bearing capacity characteristic value130kN. Chosingcolumns4to17lines and a row as examples,5%of total anchors are tested inaccordance with the requirements of Engineering Command. The34root anchorsinspected don’t appear failure and have the little deformation value under260kNpull-out resistance loads.Anchor design is still in its experience and semi-empirical state. The rock boltmechanism is not clear, especially in quantitative estimation of bolt drawingdeformation and stiffness is very difficult. In this paper, the bolt deformation formuladeduced by Pro Gu is used to calculate theoretically bolt deformation value, thecalculation result are used matched with the testing results. Finally the paper carefullyanalyzes bolts by ANSYS finite element simulation which further verify the test valueand theoretical calculated value and provide reference for practical engineering.
