Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.)Gilg is a kind of valuable medicinal plants and famous spices plant in our country.It has become endangered species because of the human deforestation and the threat of plant diseases and insect pests.The seed of Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.)Gilg have very special suspension way.After fruit cracking,using nearly twice the length of fruit fiber,through the bridge type turn and connect the two top and the skin of seed at the end of the appendages,will seed the maximum fruit hanging in the outside and direct exposure to the atmosphere.Through the observation to the Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.)Gilg we discover this specific behavior which is the wasps can picking the seed in Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.)Gilg.Further through the analysis the time of wasps picking the seeds and the picking position and so on,we inferred that,through the spread of insects wasps is a very important mode of transmission of Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.)GilgWe use the simultaneous distillation extraction and the steam distillation method to extract the seed ontology,the seed appendages and the peel three parts of the volatile material extraction,and these samples for GC-MS analysis.The result showed that:in the three parts present a large number of alkane with quantity of carbon atoms between10to30,alkene and hydrocarbons derivatives,which mainly has tetradecane,pentadecane,hexadecane,octadec-9-enoic aicd,eicosane and so on.By the simultaneous distillation extraction,we find Z-11-eicosen-ol in the seed appurtenances.Research shows that compound is the main ingredients of the venom of the Chinese bees.At the same time it is the main ingredients of the honey bees’ alarm pheromones.In addition,we also find other similar to the bees alarm pheromones compounds in seed appendages.According to the experimental results, we think that Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.)Gilg seeds have mimicry behavior. Because of the seed appendages and the shape of the x is similar to wasps food such as honey bee larvae or eggs, thereby causing the wasps to attack the seed of Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.)Gilg. At the same time, the seed appendages of x through circulated the enol, olefin, acid of this class of chemical signals, when these volatile compounds in atmospheric turbulence, which can be detceted by the keen wasps. Therefore, the Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.)Gilg can dissemination of Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.)Gilg seed may be by the dual role of the mimicry behavior of Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.)Gilg seed and chemical signals induced.The study of the relationship between plants and animals is one of the most popular areas in biology. The research on Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.)Gilg and wasps not only provides some data and research foundation to the coevolution theory, but also provides the good strategy and scientific means to the protection and artificial reproduction of Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.)Gilg.
