Abstract


Objective:To explore the correlation between MTHFR C677T gene polymorphism and ischemic cerebral stroke in Chinese-Korean and Han peaple in YanBian area,and if there is difference between nations according to MTHFR C677T gene polymorphism distribution or not.Methods:This case-control study included100cases of Ischemic stroke patients case group and101cases of healthy control group.In the same period,2ml of the peripheral anticogulant was taken and stored at4℃. Genomic DNA was extracted from periperal blood by Whole blood genomic DNA.MTHFR C677T gene polymorphism distribution of100case group and101control group were taken by DNA sequencing with Chain Termination Method.Then compared the genotype frequencies and distribution for statistical analysis.Result:(1)The distribution of MTHFR C677T genotypes,C/C,C/T,T/T were23,45,32in100case group, and23,47,31in101healthy control group.The total constituent ratio was similar to eachother.The frequency distribution of MTHFR genotypes was corresponding with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium.(case group P>0.05; control group P>0.05).(2)In case group,the proportion of MTHFR C677T genotypes,CC,CT,TT were34.09%,40.91%,25.00%in Chinese-Korean and14.29%,48.21%,37.50%in Han peaple.There was no significant difference in the total constituent ratio (P>0.05);In healthy control group,the proportion of MTHFR C677T genotypes,CC,CT,TT were25.58%,48.84%,25.58%in Chinese-Korean and20.69%,44.83%,34.48%in Han peaple.There was no significant difference in the total constituent ratio(P>0.05).(3)Campared with case group and healthy control group in Chinese-Korean in YanBian area, the distribution of MTHFR C677T genotypes,CC,CT,TT were34.09%,40.91%,25.00%and25.58%,48.84%,25.58%.There was no significant difference in the total constituent ratio(P>0.05); Campared with case group and healthy control group in Han peaple in YanBian area, the proportion of MTHFR C677T genotypes,CC,CT,TT were14.29%,48.21%,37.50%and20.69%,44.83%,34.48%.There was no significant difference in the total constituent ratio(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)There was no significant correlation between MTHFR C677T gene polymorphism and ischemic cerebral stroke in YanBian area.(2)And there was no difference between Chinese-Korean and Han peaple according to MTHFR C677T gene polymorphism distribution.
