Abstract


Du Mu in Ming Dynasty is a rare man of extensive learning.his literary worksconsists of poetry,prose,notes writings,stone notes, travel etc. The study of his poetictheory of the scholars have made many achievements, the notes writings are lessconcerned about research. This paper aims to study Du Mu’s notes writings, in orderto understand his literary thoughts and literary style.The first part of article, his family and friends, discusses Du Mu’s notes writingsinfluenced by Wu literary style and family background at that time. A second part, thestudy of his notes writings as the breakthrough point, explained his emphasis on textualcontext, a pragmatic attitude towards literary. In the last part of the paper expoundsthe hallmark of his writings and explores his realistic orientation.
