Abstract


As the Chinese contemporary art becomes international, and the painting area has a trend of strategic kitsch, this trend becomes more obvious since middle of90s of last century, and nowadays it has become the main aesthetic taste. Being different from the middle-class taste in Greenberg era, this aesthetic taste shows new features in the environment of China’s economic transformation and cultural shift. This is not only embodied in a Chinese way of modeling, symbolized composition and vulgar taste, but also in the weak art appreciation and general creativity of independent personality. Nowadays, this kitsch has brought together a trend to become a mainstream aesthetic taste of Chinese contemporary with art.The paper is divided into four sections for analysis on this issue. The first chapter is of the basic concepts. A clear understanding of the vulgarization phenomenon contemporarily is the prerequisite for discussion. The second chapter focuses on the social background and the role it plays for this vulgarization phenomenon. Impact aloof manner and with the reform and opening up of mass culture and popular culture is more subtle. The vulgarization phenomenon is the inevitable result of development of the global market and the Chinese contemporary system. The third chapter mainly discusses the interpretation of this phenomenon, the author offers his own opinions on this vulgarization phenomenon through creative practice of his own. In the fourth chapter, the author does some thinking which is triggered by the development of contemporary art.The paper discusses the characteristic of all kinds of kitsch tendencies in an atmosphere of modern market economy and from the nature of contemporary arts. For one piece of art work the vulgar qualities may has a variety of characteristics, It may contain a variety of appearance, or even a work can contain several kitsch way. which need more attention. In this developing process of contemporary art in the background of market economy. The discussion of the painting of kitsch phenomenon helps to maintain the vitality of contemporary art from the erosion of business and has important practical significance in this stage of development of contemporary art.
