Abstract


Dough Figurine, which was developed based on the culture of northern pastry, isboth one of the forms of traditional Chinese folk art, also the performance of changesof Chinese food culture and history. So far, the Dough Figurine has been listed asnational intangible cultural heritage, meanwhile, various places are actively apply forlocal intangible cultural heritage, given high emphasis on the Dough Figurine’sheritability and development. Domestic research paid more attention to the artisticvalue and folk connotation, in order to encourage the Dough Figurine artisticinnovation, and enhance the awareness on the protection and heritage of local culturalresources. In those researches, they were cautious about the study of specificdevelopment, and less prominent. On the basis of previous research, make ShandongDough Figurine a specific object of the study, given a full analysis of the constituentelements of the Dough Figurine through the perspective of landscape. Basis on thecultural capital theory, this paper put forward the idea of the Dough-landscape’scapitalization, that from cultural resources to the cultural capital. Through fieldobservations, questionnaires and depth interviews and other methods to get theattitudes and aspirations of the Dough Figurine artists for capitalization, the culturalcapital development path to be explored based on it. The main contents of the articleinclude,(1) The analysis of the constituent elements of the Dough Figurine as landscape.Accordance with the three forms of cultural capital, the Dough-landscape wassubdivided into three parts, including the Dough Figurine of the genre of the artist, theskill characteristics of dough, Dough Figurine aspects of the historical changes andthe Dough Figurine preservation of the cultural space, which features can make it as alandscape.(2)The survey of the Dough Figurine artists’ willingness focused on thedevelopment of capitalization. Through field research, questionnaire surveys,interviews, combine with the virtual community survey on Shandong Dough Figurineartists for perception, evaluation, the attitude and willingness towards the Dough Figurine capitalized development, we try to sort-out the true willingness of theresearch object through both the qualitative and quantitative method, and put forwardthe specific path of capitalization as a reference.(3)The way of study the Dough-landscape’s cultural capitalization which basedon the survey. Respectively, from the conditions of the capitalization of dough, thereare three aspects of the morphology and the specific path discussed. Focus on fromDough Figurine artists active heritage willingness, integration and enhancement ofcultural resources and community participation as the starting point, focusing oninterpretation of the Dough Figurine as cultural services and cultural goods andspecific forms of landscape products, the ultimate point is that the Dough Figurinelandscape and cultural and creative industries on the combination proposed byconstructing a cultural industry chain, to promote cultural resources to the rapidtransformation of the cultural capital.Dough Figurine as a folk craft, its natural environment with the cultural andartistic value,even the passage of history, make it the most primitive and simple formof artistic expression, will be the essence of traditional culture. Although develop theintangible cultural heritage through the capital view is controversial, in the long run,we should fully respect the heir’s demand and improve the enthusiasm to inherit,thereby encouraging more people to participate in the protection, to reserve the livingnature of the intangible cultural heritage, to preserve and develop it from the truesense.
