Abstract


In recent years, the animation industry developed at a high speed all over the world, and the effect of industrial chain plays an important role, leading to a series of related industry with a rapid development and expansion. The United States, in the other shore of the ocean, has become the world’s largest animation industry country. The annual output of animation reached almost$200billion, accounting for one third of the cultural industry among GDP. Disney, as a representative of cartoon industry giant, have derived products of all fields related to social lives. As one of the Asian countries, the annual turnover of animation industry in Japan accounted for one5of GDP. Among exporting movie and TV, animation works account for a third, Japan become the world’s second largest cartoon kingdom. South Korea also encounters crisis in this century, then they adjusted the direction immediately, developed the culture industry energetically, and soon become the rookie of animation industry.Our country is in the rapid development period, we also face a lot of problems. How to form the complete animation industry chain is still a problem. From the visual design as the center of the animation original works to product design primarily cartoon derivatives, cartoon industry seems disjointed. The design of the derivatives are severely fettered,The article states from product design methodology of the theory. The innovative product design theory is introduced into the animation industry in the research of the problem through the consumption psychology. The article explores animation derivative industry development direction from the innovation theory, product interaction, emotional communication, design orientation and development trend and so on. We got the possible problems and risks in the process of the development of animation derivative industry after analysing the successful animation industry at home and abroad, provide the practical reference value for the future development of the industry.
