Abstract


This paper attempts to compensate for the lack of research in this field by studying Wang shiqi(王士琦)and "San Yun Chou Zu Kao"(《三云筹俎考》)in detail. The paper discusses two aspects. The first part introduces the life stories of Wang shiqi, including the family of Wang shiqi, the experience of securing an official position and the main achievement. The second part discusses the book background, leading contents, historical sources and historical value of "San Yun Chou Zu Kao". Firstly, it is reciting the book background that with the right wing of Mongolia rising to invade the south, there is crisis of Ming Dynasty in the north side at the late period. Datong town was taking a important role in defending Mongolia. Besides, Datong town is a main channel and location between Ming Dynasty and Mongolia after "An Da Feng Gong"(俺答封贡)Secondly, it introduces the main contents, including "An Rang Kao"(《安攘考》),"Feng Gong Kao"(《封贡考》),"Xian Ai Kao"(《险隘考》),"Jun Shi Kao"(《军实考》)Thirdly it analyses the historical sources of the book. I believe that there are three historical sources, including "San Zhen Tu Shuo"(《三镇图说》),"Xuan Da Shan Xi San Zhen Tu Shuo"(《宣大山西三镇图说》),"Bei Lu Shi Xi"(《北虏世系》), and the information which author collected in person. Lastly, it discusses the historical value of research which includes the defense of Datong town, the relations of trade between Ming Dynasty and Mongolia, principal lineage of "Tu Mo Te Bu"(土默特部),the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty, the history and geography of Mongolia tribe.
