Research on Lifestyle Diseases Status of Certain University Staffs during Four Years and the Countermeasures in Jilin Province

Abstract


Objective:In this study a university staff as the research object, studies of this population of lifestyle disease (" 3 tall." ) the incidence and trend, find out the main affecting factor of the health, health management, to put forward the preventive measures and recommendations, further improve the college staff s quality of life and survival, in order to better accomplish the teaching, scientific research and management tasks, for social development and cultivate more talents.Methods:From 2007 to 2010 in a university to participate in medical staff as the research object, the collection of the University from 2007 to 2010 in four consecutive years of health examination data, at the same time to September 11, 2011 in the teaching staff as the health risk factors investigated, by using self made questionnaire on height, weight, strength, physical exercise, daily sleep time, drinking and smoking and other health risk factors for investigation. On the collection of medical data and health risk factor data, using Epidata to establish database, using SPSS13.0 statistical software for statistical analysis.Results:In four years the college staff participate in the examination of respectively 82%, 98%, 64.5% and 74.6%; females are slightly more than the male; age from 25 to 62 years, with 30~49 young people between the ages of mainly; the prevalence of hypertension were 3.2%, 3.7%, 3%, 4.6%, an annual average of 3.63%; with high normal blood pressure prevalence respectively for 14.6%, 10.7%, 17.3%, 64.7%, the average annual 26.83%; hyperglycemia prevalence rates were 10.1%, 13.2%, 12.9%, 14.1%, the average annual 12.58%; hyperlipidemia prevalence rates were 6.5%, 8.3%, 6.1%, 9.8%, average 7.68% years. As the year increase, hypertension, hyperlipemia and high blood sugar detection rate had no significant difference ( P > 0.05 ); high normal blood pressure appears along with the year growth trend ( P < 0.05 ); 2008 and 2009, high normal blood pressure in different gender have significant differences ( P < 0.05 ), is pronounced in males than in females; the detection rate of hypertension in different gender had no significant difference ( P > 0.05 ). In 2008 and 2010, high blood lipids detection rate in different gender have significant difference ( P < 0.05 ), performed for males was significantly higher than that of female. In 2007 and 2010, high blood sugar detection rate in different gender have significant difference ( P < 0.05 ), performed for males was significantly higher than that of female. Different gender, normal blood pressure and high normal blood pressure in different years were significantly different ( P < 0.05 ), and the high normal blood pressure in male and female groups have shown with the year increased; there is no high blood lipids in different years showed no significant difference ( P > 0.05 ); there is no high blood sugar in different years showed no significant difference ( P > 0.05 ). High normal blood pressure and hypertension incidence in different age groups have significant difference ( P < 0.05 ), performance for the high normal blood pressure and hypertension prevalence increases with age trend. In 2010 high normal blood pressure in 20~29 years old young groups have a higher detection rate, 60%, young change a problem to highlight. High lipid detection rate in different age groups with significant difference ( P < 0.05 ), 50 years old and above the crowd of high blood lipids detection rates were significantly higher than the young group. High blood sugar detection rate in different age groups with significant difference ( P < 0.05 ), from the age of 40, high blood sugar detection rate was increased. For different age groups, normal blood pressure and high normal blood pressure in different years were significantly different ( P < 0.05 ), and the high normal blood pressure in different ages have shown with the year increased; there is no high blood lipids in different years showed no significant difference ( P > 0.05 ); at the age of 50 years above the age, there is no hyperglycemia in different years have significant difference ( P < 0.05 ).Health risk factors investigation result: 371 of the participants, the rate of overweight obesity rates of 23.7%, 3.2%; 55% feel to the daily work intensity, different titles in populations with significant difference (P < 0.05 ), the senior population is most obvious, accounted for 66%; 42.3% do not exercise regularly; 21% day time sleep less than 6 hours; 9.2% regular drinkers; 10.8% of current cigarette smoking, under different titles in populations with significant difference ( P < 0.05 ), smokers are more concentrated in the senior population, accounted for 18.6%.Conclusions:Teaching staff in a university health examination data and health risk factor questionnaire results indicated that, for four years the college staff participation rate is low; life style disease have a certain degree of popularity, hypertension and hyperlipidemia prevalence is low, but high normal blood pressure in high prevalence, of particular note is the prevalence of diabetes mellitus rate significantly higher than the national average level, the university staff health level is not optimistic. Health risk factors more serious epidemic of overweight obesity rates, rates of 23.7%, 3.2%, overweight and obesity with rate 26.9%; respondents, 55% feel to the daily work intensity; 42.3% do not exercise regularly; 21% day time sleep less than 6 hours; 9.2% regular drinkers; 10.8% of current cigarette smoking. Through health education, diet, lifestyle, improve the adjustment of self health care consciousness, enhance physical exercise and other means, to prevent and control the occurrence and development of lifestyle disease.
