Abstract


Shanghai is a graceful city on the1930s. It has the true sense of thecosmopolitan. When most scholars go to find the root of the moderncity in China, they will be locked on1930s. Moreover, most of cultureroots of the entire urban will touch in Shanghai, Shanghais thirties is ofspecial significance. The purpose of this subject is from the perspectiveof Folklore, and use the Shanghai’s as the background, through thestudy of the Shanghai city folk on the people behind the meaning of tostudy the formation and development of Shanghais urban folklore aswell as its characteristics of urban folklore. Its disciplines Shanghaifolklore as well as Shanghai Culture as a great significance. Through wehave the previous studies of Shanghai’s1930, most of them are from theangle of the Shanghai Literature, few people from the point of view offolklore, and tap the meaning behind.Shanghai the1930s folk, and the agricultural society under the"traditional folk" have a huge difference, at the same time, it is than theancient "city folk" more modern, more characteristic of a folk, itstraditional agrarian times Folk mark has been blurred, and the contrary,mark on the lives of Western society is very clear in his possession, at thesame time, it has a special, fresh fusion of the original lifestyle andWestern way of life close together, create a new, especially folk, this is anew urban folk.The characteristics of the thirties folk, is that he was not a gradualprocess based on the original or a slow historical process, but to aconsiderable extent by the external shocks caused by this impact is therapid and powerful, means that with the rebirth after destruction,precisely because of this impact, and Shanghai in order to continue themastery, the formation of these four characteristics, the role of thesevaluable features, and finally formed their own unique style.
