Abstract


This paper represents the results of a comparative study on the measure words in Chinese and Japanese. Chapter 1 is on the basis of summarize some situation that the usage of measure words in the two language, pointed out the frequency of usage of it in Chinese is much exceeded in the case of Japanese. Chapter 2 through comparison with the two languages on the using condition on measure words, pointed out a conclusion that the difference of prerequisite using of it, namely, the prerequisite using of measure words in Chinese is according to the object’s outward, in Japanese, however, ahead of this they have to judge whether the object is the living thing or not. Chapter 3 is an analysis of the errors in acquiring measure words of Japanese students. Chapter 4 inquires into the strategy of the teaching on Chinese measure words to the Japanese students, pointed out how to realize them the frequency using of measure words in Chinese to avoid lack of measure words in their inter language. Because of the lank of measure words in Japanese grammar is not high and low frequency of using, the Japanese students often forgot adding it.
