Abstract


It has been the key point of current worldwide educational development to improve the level ofteacher’s education. In the meanwhile, cultivating excellent teachers plays a crucial role in developing thequality of national education. Due to certain special historical reasons, teacher education has beendeveloping slowly, besides that, regional discrepancies also cause the education of teachers to be out ofbalance in our country. That’s why we focus on constructing and completing the system of teachereducation. Modern Chinese teacher education started with the Qing Dynasty and was modeled after theJapanese educational system, then in1922started to copy the American educational system, in1951it wasagain remodeled after the Soviet Union socialism educational system and finally until the currentpedagogical education system with Chinese characteristics. During these100years, we imitated andlearned from the education experience of developed countries. In this process, our teacher education hasgained considerable accomplishments. Foreign advanced modes of education and successful developmentexperiences are valuable examples for us. What’s more, the majority of scholars have taken an in-depthstudy and learned from foreign teacher education, which opened up a new domain for the development ofteacher education in our country.By analyzing many papers about foreign teacher education written by our scholars, we can see whathas been resolved, which way we should develop, and try to find some deficiencies and offer somesuggestions.This research analyzes with the articles about foreign teacher education research from CSSCIeducation core journals from2002to2011, adopts documents quotation, content analysis and statisticalmethod, commences from the distribution of the number of years from relevant papers, subject distributionof papers, teachers class distribution, authors’ units distribution, involving national distribution, thedistribution of pre-service education and post-education research, paper topics distribution, in order to tryto find the key point and deficiency of the researches about the foreign teacher education by our scholars. Iwill study this subject through these following aspects:Part1Introduction. All the research starts from here. It is about the origin and meaning of thisresearch, documents summary, as well as the way I analyze this point. Part2Presentation of document collection. It includes all the information about every relevant papers.Part3The analysis of statistical results. It makes an advanced analysis of the reason why thisphenomenon happens on the basis of the result of Part2.Part4The deficiency of the research and the enlightenment to the research in the future. On the basisof Part2and Part3, I’m trying to find the deficiency of the research about the foreign teacher educationmade by our scholars.Part5Conclusion. This part concludes the overall situation of the foreign teacher education and thedeficiencyof this research.
