With the rapid development of science and technology, high accuracy time base isone of the most important assurance platforms for modern telecommunications,navigation, power systems, industry, business, national defenses, and other fields.Accuracy time synchronization is required more and more popular, besides, higher andhigher accuracy is demand. The key point to ensure the normal operation of all thesesystems is how to get precise time synchronization.COMPASS(BeiDou) system is an independent satellite navigation system of China, itcan provide positioning,SMS communication and timing service to users located inChina and surrounded areas. Through the analysis of timing technology and timesynchronization technology development status, bring out the importance of the timingreceiver technology research base on BeiDou system in China.Through the introduction of Time Standards, Time Synchronization Technology,Principles of Satellite Navigation System and the Theory of Satellite Timing Receiver,this paper analysis the measurement error and correct methods in detail. Based on thetheoretic analysis, detail design scheme of the practical timing receiver solution isprovided, and the data processing algorithms are verified by the performance test.The successful development of BeiDou satellite timing products will accelerate thepopularization of timing services of BeiDou navigation satellite system, and strengthenthe safety and reliability of time synchronization applications.
