Abstract


With its rapid development in recent years, wireless sensor network (WSN),which is capable of continuously supervising various situations after integratingmulti-disciplinary technologies, has shown its great potential in being applied insuch fields as environment, military, medical care etc. With reference to itsapplication, time synchronization of nodes is sure to be the basis of any othertechnique in WSN, or any information such as synchronization positioning or datafusion can’t be accurate without these basic synchronization components.Firstly, this thesis introduces the background knowledge of WSN, including thecurrent researches on WSN and its engineering applications; and it briefly describesthe necessity of time synchronization protocol in WSN.Secondly, time synchronization protocol in WSN, theories of several classictime synchronization protocol classification algorithms, the implementation processand the advantages and disadvantages of each algorithm are all specificallypresented in this thesis. What’s more, it gives great prominence to introduction ofFTSP protocol by deeply analyzing the theory of protocol, its specificimplementation and time accuracy based on time synchronization algorithm.Thirdly, according to the systematic analyses FTSP protocol improvedalgorithm is put forward to solve the serious energy consumption problems cause byflooding nodes in time synchronization process, and the inaccuracy in clock driftcaused abnormal nodes in by the linear regression algorithm. The simulation resultsshow that our method not only eliminates the network congestion and energyconsumption caused by original agreement flooding node information overload, butalso improves the performance of linear regression algorithm.Finally, an overall summary is made in terms of the research, the shortcomingsin research; and further we summate our work. Additionally, we point out theinadequate and the direction of future direction of research is also mentioned.
