Abstract


Characteristics of cloud computing which are on-demand services and scalabilityhave been taken advantage to lift the shackles of CPU, memory, power and otherresources of intelligent terminal by mobile cloud computing. With the growingpopularity of intelligent terminal’s games, microblogging, maps, location-basedservices, search, etc., intelligent terminal has ushered in the golden period as itsextensive popularity and ease of use. Mobile cloud computing promotes a wide rangeof intelligent terminals, but which is over-reliance on the mobile internet. The mobilenetwork has characteristics of high error rate and delay jitter, so transporting data willbring in a serious drain on the power of intelligent terminal so that shorten standbytime. Under such conditions, how to optimize the network transmission process,improve the quality of the transmission network, and reduce the power consumptionof the intelligent terminal has become a hot research in this field. The research ofoptimization scheme about transfer size, transport protocols, and transmission modeagainst network transmission process of the intelligent terminal is valued, and internetpower optimization system on the Android platform is realized based on theoptimization scheme.Research and analysis of existing power estimation model and according to theircharacteristics and insufficient establish a precise intelligent terminal powerconsumption model, in order to create a low-cost, accurate quantitative assessmentindicators for the next phase of power optimization. Transmission characteristics ofthe data and the transmission protocols for each transmission mode is analysed.According to differences of data size for sending request and receiving response, anadaptive data optimization scheme is proposed in the article. Under the premise oflow-power transmission, data size of network transmission is reduced. Depending onthe type of network transmission data, the optimization of the transport protocol isproposed. The cloud service automatically selects the network transmission mode forterminal to improve the transmission rate. Based on the optimization scheme, internetpower optimization system on the Android platform is realized, the overall design ofwhich is divided into three parts: the terminal plug-in, cloud agent and cloud services.The third party open source tools to intercept all network data is adopted by Terminalplug-in. Cloud proxy achieves efficient data transmission with multi-threadedconcurrency mechanism. Cloud services adopts the power estimation model toprovide real-time power consumption and corresponding algorithm to choose the bestnetwork transmission mode for the terminal.The detailed verification, test, and analysis of the above study content is carriedout, key system parameters is accessed, and the key technologies used in this papersuccessfully achieve their respective functions, earning the low-power, low-cost network transmission.
