With the continuous development of human technology, wireless communication hasbecome indispensable to the daily life, and the extent of the demand has continued increased,however, the spectrum resources is a natural resource which is limited, so a new wirelesscommunication technology was need to solve the growing shortages of spectrum resources.Researchers, in this field, observed that signal transmission characteristics of worldwideunlicensed bands with the lower spectrum was very good signal, but the usage was very low.Because of this discovery, the spectrum sharing technology was concerned by human, theproblem of how to re-use the spectrum of this non-renewable resources could be solved bythis technology. So, cognitive radio technology was produced in this environment.One of the key technical in cognitive radio was power control system technology, theuser’s normal communication could be guaranteed, other users could not be interfered, too.The system interference could be reduced effectively, the capacity of the system could beenhanced, the spectrum utilization could be improved. Game theory was one of the mosteffective means and methods to solve the power control problems, a distributed power controlproblem in the cognitive radio system was solved by non-cooperative game approach, bothcognitive users want to achieve maximum utility function transmission power by changingtheir transmission power, eventually reach a balance point (Nash equilibrium). The keytechnical in cognitive radio was combined with the ideas of game theory of economics, in thearticle, algorithm and related problems had been studied.First, the research background and its significance was introduced by the paper, thedevelopment of domestic and international status and the research of power controltechnology in the current cognitive radio technology was analysis, and the main content of thestructural framework in papers was arranged. Then the basics of game theory was introduced,non-cooperative power control game(NPG) and linear cost function based on thenon-cooperative power control Game with Pricing (NPGP) were analyzed, the algorithm wassimulated with the parameters of radio communication. Simulation results showed that, mostof the cognitive user’s transmit power could be reduced by the introduction of cost function,their utility function were improved, signal to interference ratio (SIR) of cognitive users, farfrom the base station, were significantly reduces.The above two game algorithm were analyzed, and combined with the formulation of the principle of cost function, the cost function has been improved by combining with theformulation of the principle of cost function, a more complete non-linear cost function wasgiven. Through the analysis of the the improved formula for power control game algorithm,the values of the cost factor was given. Finally, the improved algorithm simulation figure wasgiven. Simulation results show that Improved algorithm was better than the first twoalgorithms in the utility function and transmission power, and the unfairness problem of theNPGP algorithm could be solved.
