Abstract


With the rapid development of information technology, office automation system hasdeveloped tremendously in both technology and application, and people gradually realized thatthe use of office management system can promote the daily office activities faster, moreconvenient and efficient. Moreover, the importance of office activities becomes moreconspicuous which attracted the enterprise managers’ universal attention. They think that theymay not manage their companies effectively without the support of information technology;therefore, the office automation system has been used widespread. For quite a long time, atraditional style-paper document dominated office activities which not only waste a great dealof manual labors, material and financial resources but also with low efficiency as well as easyto make mistakes which wasted lot of time. This is not beneficial to enterprises’ long-termstability and its development. However, the application of the new office automation systemcan release workers from boring and inefficient activities and focus on the core activitieswhich will increase enterprises’ productivity and its control of information. At the same time,the executors can enhance their execution by improving and standard the enterprisemanagement, reducing cost which to gain more competitiveness.Nowadays, the application of Internet and Intranet has become more and more popular allover the world and the influence of the system is also becoming more and more essential. Itnot only increases the individual productivity, but also embodies the collaborative work whichmeans communicating with information. Because of Internet, this communication will befinished instantly. Based on Dalian Guan Yang Science&Technology Engineering Co., Ltd’srealistic situation and requirements, the office automation system with multiple functions isdeveloped. This system can achieve the basic automation office management including thedaily information management, document management, project management, examining andapproving management, conference management and department website management and soon. Also the system added functional modules which can close to staff’s lives such as workerdiscussion, opinion inquires, resource sharing etc. This makes the system much more humanism as it not only can help the employees improve the work efficiency, but also paysattention to their humanistic care.In addition, this system is designed deliberately with regard to the details of functionwhich based on the consideration of the company’s scale as well as partially peculiar staff.Setting up the websites, managing the document, configuration of the authority and alsorelated confidentiality measures which all embody this designed system. Furthermore, thissystem aims at optimize and perfect some defects of OA system which exists in currentmarket.Through an applied general platform, this system achieves the main functions of officeautomation system including bottom operations. This design is to avoid different problems ofthose subsidiary companies. In the meantime, this system has a strong scalability forsubsidiary companies and departments to establish subsystem based on the original system,and the subsystem will be more suitable for the different subsidiary companies anddepartments. In order to achieve its working purpose, this system can generate a set of officeautomation system with strong pertinence by some simple operations, Combined with thedatabase technology, ASP.NET development language and network technology Webdevelopment, and related background server consolidation; this thesis depicts the integrationsof functions between office automation system and Microsoft Office2003and also uses ADactive directory to realize the new technology on management of data interactions.Currently, the system has been fully developed with completely testing. After a series ofstrict testing on system function and property, the system now works well. We are lookingforward to it will be more effective and efficient in practical application in future.
