Abstract

With the rapid development of Internet , the core router interface for network interconnection trunk link rate up to 100Gbit / s . This requires that the backbone routers to more than 10 million packets per second can be forwarded packet forwarding , however , the key is to find the routing table , high-speed routing lookup algorithm key technologies to improve router performance . This thesis classic route lookup algorithm design, analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the existing routing lookup algorithm , and a new routing lookup algorithm start from the search speed . The thesis mainly from the following aspects . First, the study of a variety of classic route search algorithm, the routing algorithm to find the existence of the problem , as well as the performance of routing lookup algorithm parameters , and a variety of routing lookup algorithm complexity ; then given based on full binary tree hierarchical hash routing lookup algorithm is fully taken into account IP routing lookup prefix distribution , find the IP routing prefix lookup focus on to find the IP route prefix prefix length between 16-24 bits , thereby greatly accelerate the route lookup to find the speed of the algorithm ; given a hash load balancing optimization strategy , the hash dynamic load balancing optimization strategy used in routing lookup algorithm . The drawback is that of the hash algorithm to generate a hash collision hash dynamic load balancing optimization strategy can effectively reduce the risk of hash collisions , which can improve the performance of the hash algorithm to further improve the performance of routing lookup algorithm . Finally, the simulation results obtained full binary tree - based routing search algorithm on the search speed is much better than the previous algorithm .
