Abstract


Monetary integration has been a hot issue of the international financial community , especially in the establishment of the euro area . In recent years, the rapid economic development of East Asia has become one of the world's most important trade area in the region , but compared with the major economies such as the European Union developed entity , the region's currency monetary integration process is slow , and the implementation of monetary integration is imminent. As the importance of East Asia have generally adopted export-oriented economic development strategy, in the United States under the influence of the East Asian countries for long - term stability and development of trade considerations spontaneously selected the U.S. dollar as the main settlement currency and the stability of the U.S. dollar exchange rate as economic policy objectives. But this exchange rate system is not conducive to gaining the upper hand in the area of trade , economic ties with East Asian countries to continue gaining the upper hand , the need to further strengthen the exchange rate system contact . Multilateral monetary cooperation in East Asia to resolve their differences , however , is still large, the progress is very slow . Japan has been making efforts to promote the yen to play a leading role in the East Asian monetary cooperation , but the downturn of the yen against the sharp fluctuations in the U.S. dollar and the Japanese economy , the yen and not by the East Asian economies agree . Economic trading power as the East Asia region with the greatest growth potential , the development status of China is rapidly increasing , the increasingly close economic and trade exchanges with countries in East Asia , has become the most important trading partners in the East Asian countries , economic prosperity and stability in the region also play an important role . In China's economic development and under the influence of the RMB has become a hard-currency payment and settlement with neighboring countries and regional trade in Asia . And more and more countries and regions with the economic and trade exchanges between treat the acceptance of the RMB continues to deepen. Trade dependence on China as countries gradually deepened , these countries the demand for reserves against the RMB will also further strengthen the RMB as a regional currency is an inevitable choice , and compared to other currencies , the RMB has a greater advantage , and , as \It can be predicted that the yuan become a major regional settlement of monetary dominance in East Asia , will be accompanied by a wider range of applications to be consolidated .
