Abstract


Ecotourism (short for ecological tourism) is a kind of new tourism as well as an ideal tourism mode, taking the natural and social ecology as the main tourism carriers, aiming to watch and feel the ecological environment, to popularize ecological consciousness and to maintain ecological balance. Centering on the idea of sustainable development, ecotourism effectively resolves the contradiction between vigorously developing the tourism industry and protecting surrounding environment of tourism area, achieving a developmental balance between natural resource exploitation and environmental protection, so as to realize a coordinated development of social benefit, economic benefit and environmental benefit. Currently, ecotourism has become an inevitable trend of tourism development as well as the preferred way of tourism industry development in various countries and regions in the world.With rich tourism resources, Yantai city is suitable for ecotourism development. Centering on the topic of sustainable development of ecotourism in Yantai city, based on the research of characteristics of ecotourism resources in Yantai city, this research tries to find an appropriate way for Yantai city to develop its ecotourism, to make clear Yantai city ecotourism planning focus, to analyze the existing problems in the course of ecotourism development in Yantai city, and to put forward the practical and effective countermeasures to improve the situation, in order to promote the ecotourism development of Yantai city. The research first reviews ecotourism research results abroad and at home, and combines with the related theories such as sustainable development, environment ethics and so on, then uses SWOT analysis to analyze and evaluate ecotourism developmental environment of Yantai city. In addition, the research constructs Yantai city ecotourism development system, and explores Yantai city ecotourism development goals and sustainable development program.The results show that:with rich tourism resources and tourism resources types, natural and manmade sceneries having distinct characteristics, Yantai city is suitable for ecotourism development. Yantai city ecotourism is focused on creating brand products such as offshore gold coast ecotourism area,"Wonderland of Penglai"- Nanshan mountain ecotourism zone, grape wine city cultural leisure tourist area, Laiyang rural agricultural ecotourism zone and gold land Zhaoyuan industrial tourist area and so on, creating three key scenic areas named center city ecotourism zone, Pengchanglong ecotourism area and southwest ecotourism district, and actively promoting Yantai city as tourism images of "Grape Wine City" and "Wonderland Coast". Aiming at this goal, in the course of developing ecotourism, Yantai city should constantly optimize ecotourism products and industrial structure, manage tourism resources, and improve service quality, in order to create the ecological tourism as a shining card in Yantai city. This will contribute to the promotion of Yantai ecotourism development as well as the realization of the goal of national excellent ecotourism destination.
