In recent years, the technique of steel using is developing very fast. However, the research of foreign design experience should not be confined in the imitatation of ploy and the copy of externality. What’s more important is the reseach of thinking mode. This text expounds the steel’s characteristic and esthetics representation. It also disusses connection of architecture externality and material, architecture logic, and it researches building logic and technique aesthetics of steel.This text, focusing on the appearance of steel, recapitulate the technic and aesthetics of steel, and trying to find the way for steel architecture developing though the analysis of foreign works. This article contains four chapters. The first chapter and the second chapter mainly discuss the fountain of the research. The third and the forth part of the article, as the emphases of this article, cluing the characteristic of steel, expatiate the steel’s types, character and represent mode. With the demonstration of steel structure architecture and steel details, the third part of this article discusses the representation and character of technique. The last part of the article, based on the other parts, expatiates principle and ploy of architecture design. This text also discusses the logic of steel’s technique and esthetics representation. Last but not least, this text expects the trend of the steel’s developing.This text, researching on the steel’s technic representation and esthetics representation, discusses the steel’s design and use. And it also discusses the developing of steel which contains two aspects. Firstly, it’s the renewal of design concepts. We should use the architecture material which is high-powered and advantaged for zoology combined with scientific viewpoint of development. Secondly, it’s the renewal of technic. We should buildup steel’s effects and representation in architecture with the developing of the research of steel. Then we can contribute to quality of architecture which means both esthetics and solidity.
