Power industry is an important basic industry of national economy, national economic development strategy is focused on basic first industry. China’s electric power industry, industry characteristics and representa-tiveness of listed companies that the overall quality of listed companies and directly related to the sustainable development of the power industry’s competitiveness and sustainable development.In this paper, the power of China’s power industry structure and the distribution of its listed companies with the characteristics of listed com-panies in China reached the point of view from the scale of business own-ers still thermal power and to determine the thermal power of this article from the perspective of the enterprise carried out on the constraints analy-sis, this paper from the demand side of economic development, economic structure, urbanization process and the efficiency of electricity use and demand situation on the electricity demand of coal; Secondly, from the point of view of electricity supply and price of its thermal power enter-prises productivity, financial costs, the impact of power generation costs; Third, analysis of the policy has brought great pressure on the staff of small diversion, debt, and other bidding companies to the pressure in-volved; fourth, analysis of linkage in the coal price thermal power compa-nies after the implementation of tariff and fuel cost comparison, as well as the enactment of the policy problems in the implementation.Through the above constraints, based on analysis of the factors, this paper constructs an investor’s point set of evaluation indicators, and using factor analysis, the results of this analysis was verified obtained under the influence of these factors, China power industry overall listed companies on the whole, from 2002-2009 show a downward trend. Finally, the above analysis, draw this conclusion from the perspective of business and indus-try made two suggestions.
