Abstract


The earthquake occurred frequently in our country. Every time of the destructiveearthquake caused casualties and property losses are heavy, especially in rural areas, dueto the relatively backward economic conditions, the poor quality of the seismic, theconsequence of the earthquake is more serious. When confronted with the sameintensity earthquake devastation is also more serious. Therefore, the study of seismicshock absorption technology of the villages is very important.In this paper, the study subjects are the low-rise buildings of the towns and villages,comparative analysis of some mainstream isolation system, then proposed gravel cushionSliding Base Isolation. The sliding friction test between gravel material and concrete alsoSlip bands test of the gravel material were carried out. At last, the gravel cushion shakingtable tests were simulated and the isolation effect was analysised. What this paperstudies and conclusions mainly contens as the following:(1) First, taking an overview of China’s earthquake disaster situations, especially inthe vast rural areas, proposed gravel cushion slip isolation technology(2) For the experimental section, a series of research experiments were done togain the coefficient of friction between the gravel and concrete slabs, including thedifferent particle size gravel and under different load friction test, confirmed that theconcrete foundation in the upper part of the gravel layer slip effect.(3) For the sliding isolation characteristics, proposed new method for isolation rateanalysis,named as rate of change of momentum isolation, it is better using theperspective of momentum changer to analyze the situation gravel cushion isolation.(4) using the concrete block Simulated large stiffness of the upper town building, conducted the shaking table test ofgravel cushion sliding isolation materials. The resultsshow that, under different thicknesses of gravel layers and different seismic wavesisolation rate of the gravel cushion is10.12%~63.99%. Through the gravel particle sizeand thickness combinations can obtain the better isolation effect. Seismic isolationeffect increased with the input energy and cushion thickness increase.
