Abstract


In recent years, much attention has been paid to the coordination polymers not only because of their intriguing structures but also due to their interesting properties as well as their potential applications in gas storage and separation, catalysis and so on.The previously reported studies revealed that the structures of coordination polymers can be affected by many factors such as the nature of ligand, metal centers, counter ions, reaction pH as well as hydrogen bonding and π-π interactions. In order to further understanding the assembly reactions,it is important to systematically study these factors how to influence on the structures of coordination polymers.Therefore, the rational design of multidentate bridging ligands for coordination polymers has been a hot topic in recent years, and a great number of coordination compounds with specific topologies such as cage, honeycomb and tube-like frameworks have been obtained by assembly reactions of varied metal salts with tripodal ligands, e.g.1,3,5-tris(imidazol-1-yl)benzene,1,3,5-tris(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene, N’,N ",N‘"-tris(pyrid-2-ylmethly)-1,3,5-benzenetricarboxamide.In this work, a new ligand2-methyl-4,6-di(pyridin-3-yl)pyrimidine (L) was used to react with different Ag(I) salts and two Ag(I) complexes [Ag2(L)2](CF3COO)2(1) and [Ag2(L)2](CF3SO3)2(2) were obtained and characterized by elemental, IR and single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. The binuclear complexes1and2form infinite1D chains through argentophilic interactions, and further extend into2D supramolecular networks by π-π interactions. The photoluminescent measurements revealed that complex2exhibits fluorescent emission in the solid state at room temperature and the luminescent decay time was determined. On the other hand, there has been a renewed focus on rhodium-containing catalysts within the context of C-C bond formation reactions. Many of new reactions that are catalyzed by rhodium complexes show promise from an environmental perspective since water can be used as a cosolvent or the sole solvent in many cases. Notable examples include rhodium-catalyzed cycloadditions, hydroacylation reactions, and allylic functionalizations. Relevant examples of metal-mediated hydrogen transfer to unsaturated compounds such as alkenes or alkynes that yield the corresponding alkanes or alkenes making use of hydrogen, transition metal (Ni, Rh, Pd and Ir) have been well used.In this work, we studied the Rh (Ⅲ)-catalyzed hydrogenation of alkynes. In this reaction, we used cheap and readily available alcohol as hydrogen source. After adding the catalyst under nitrogen, we obtained the alkene product with high yield and high selectivity.
