Since the birth of the Liquid Crystal(LC), the research of LC has never been stopped,thus many disciplines branch emerge based on LC, such as LCD, PDLC,etc. EspeciallyPDLC, it is not only simple for preparation, but also does not require Polarizer andsuitable for large screen display, thus it has been regarded by the scientific researcher inrecent years. The Research of PDLC has experienced30years, and now has entered acrucial stage. According to the structure of PDLC devices,we studied on the PDLCdevices from three aspects. It includes the PDLC film of PDLC device, the base board ofPDLC devices, and the conductive films of PDLC devices.The Specific content as follows:(1)The function film of PDLC was prepared by getting UV GLUE102BBC andTEB30A liquid crystal together via Polymer phase separation method,and the scatteringproperties of polymer dispersed liquid crystal film is tested at different voltages. Singlescattering theory is adopted to discuss and analyze the test results.(2)The fluorescence substances of Rhodamine6G and Rhodamine B wererespectively solved into the polymer dispersed liquid crystal films (PDLC film), so differentkinds of fluorescence-PDLC were prepared. On the basis of above (1) mentioned testmethod, we successively get the fluorescence spectrum, transmission spectrum, and thetransmission light scattering characteristics of fluorescence–PDLC at different voltages.(3)A reflection type of PDLC optical switch was prepared by changing thetransparent conductive film in pure PDLC device into high reflection conductive film, andthe performance of the switch was tested, and the test results show that the preparationof the reflective optical switch in accordance with the design requirements.(4)Combined with current technology, a polymer dispersed liquid crystal opticalglass (PDLC optical glass) was prepared by changing the substrate in pure PDLC device.After testing, the result demonstrates that the PDLC optical glass has a goodperformance.The full text is finished under the boom of the polymer dispersed liquid crystal. Weseize the opportunity, start from the basic structure of the PDLC devices and combined with the existing technology. the ordinary PDLC, fluorescence-PDLC, PDLC opticalswitch, PDLC optical glass were designed and implemented. A series of tests were madeto evaluate the above kinds of PDLC. The results show that the preparations of the PDLCdevices have certain practical value and research significance.
