The decomposing furnace of cement rotary kiln pre-heater is the main equipmentof preheat process during cement production, mainly aimed to preheat the rawmaterial and separation, using high temperature flue gas, in order to improve thermalefficiency of the system, reduce the system’s energy consumption. Through theparameterized modeling and analysis of the inlet pre-heater, this research is ofimportant meaning for optimizing the pre-heater structure, raising the efficiency, andimproving their performance. Combining cement calcining system technologyrequirement, in preheater system decomposition furnace structure of research, thefollowing results are obtained.The re-development of SolidWorks is carried out with the Visual Basic softwareto develop the automatic parametric modeling and automated parametric assembly ofthe decomposing furnace of cement rotary kiln pre-heater, and the parametricmodeling software is compiled.The finite-element analysis software ANSYS is used to analyze the main parts ofthe decomposing furnace, then the stress distribution and the size of deformation areobtained, which provides theoretical support for optimization design following.The parameter design language APDL is used to conduct the parametric finiteelement analysis for the cylinder, the base and other components of the decomposingfurnace. The optimal design of the decomposing furnace is carried out by choosingthe number of ribs, the thickness of the shell, and the thickness of the ribs as thedesign variables and the maximum stress, the amount of deformation as the evaluationindex. The optimal parameters are obtained according to the variation of theseindicators, so the optimal design of the key components of the decomposing furnace isfinished.The re-development of SolidWorks and the optimal design with APDL proposedin the research are of good use to undertake the Rapid prototyping, assembly, finiteelement analysis and optimal design of the decomposing furnace. The result of thisstudy has important theoretical significance and practical value for the optimal designof the key equipment in the cement industry.
