Abstract

As the intelligent vibratory roller is the new development trend in the modernroller business, it has been widely applied in recent years. The research of roller’sdynamic model and comfort are being perfected. However, the research of the wholemachines’s dynamics model in intelligent vibratory roller ignores the large impact ofsoil additional vibrating mass on vibrating compaction presently. Meanwhile thepolarization of vibrating drum causes the problem that lower quality of the pavementcompaction, unevenness of pavement compaction, running deviation of vibratingdrum. In addition, the phenomena of lower vibration comfort degree and fatiguabilityfor driver exist in domestic roller. According to the problems above, the main studiesof the present paper as follow.1)The thesis introduces a number of the typical roller’s dynamic model both inChina and abroad, and analyzes their characteristic, inheritance and developmentamong them.2)The thesis calculates compacted soil additional vibrating mass in rollercompacting process, establishes intelligent vibratory roller’s coupling dynamic modelfor whole machine considering soil additional vibrating mass, and analyzes theinfluences of soil additional vibrating mass, and kinds of designing parameters andworking parameters for the compaction process during the working process ofintelligent vibratory roller. The result shows that soil additional vibrating massinfluent the second order natural frequency of vibration system mainly; the anglebetween excitation orientation and horizontal direction is the most significant workingparameters in compaction process; the relationship of mass redistribution andconnection between vibrating drum and rack are the most important designingparameters.3)The thesis analyzes the main reason resulting in polarization. A dynamicmodel of polarization is built which considers vibrating drum centroid shift anddifference in stiffness coefficient and damping coefficient of compacted material onthe sides of vibratory drum in vibration compaction process, and discusses theimpacts of the variation of parameters as the intelligent vibratory roller’s vibratorydrum centroid shift on vibrating compacting. The result shows that vibrating drumcentroid shift is the major influence factor for differential displacement on the sides of vibratory drum in vibration compaction process and rack jiggle performance. Thevibratory drum and rack amplitude has been lower affected by the difference betweenstiffness coefficient and damping coefficient of compacted material on the sides ofvibratory drum relatively.4)Based on those two dynamic models, the thesis analyses and calculates thevibration comfort of the intelligent vibratory roller by ISO2631evaluation method. The result shows that the type of intelligent vibratory roller is in uncomfortable state. And the thesis optimizes the the important vibration parameters which improves acomfort degree.According to the results of analysis, the paper provides a reference for theestablishment of the accurate intelligent vibratory roller dynamic model, the selectionof the optimum exciting frequency, the optimum exciting amplitude and the optimumexciting angle in compaction process, and the analysis of the vibration comfort of theintelligent vibratory roller.
