Abstract


Microcapsules of snowmelt agent and melting snow fog seal is a kind of emulsionwhich used for asphalt pavement preventive maintenance, by lowering ice point to achievethe purpose of removing snow and ice on road in winter. Spray the emulsified asphalt whichadding salt on road will be formed into the Microcapsules snowmelt sealing layer，it caneffectively reduce the freezing point and inhibit freeze. But under the action of adding alarge number of salt in emulsified asphalt is susceptible to the phenomenon ofdemulsification, it makes the spray operations and road maintenance work unable toproceed. So the study using polymer material packages of salt formed capsule structure toprotect the emulsion. The snow melting agent in Microcapsules is combined with traditionalsnow-melting agent and the benefits of maintenance sealing developed a new preventivemaintenance measure.The paper expound and analysis the structure and composition of the microcapsule ofsnowmelt agent. By experiment to determine the emulsifiers, additives, capsule saltemulsion. Experimental study on the production technology of microcapsule snowmeltagent its freezing point and repeated freeze-thaw resistance performance. Put forward andimplement various performance requirements and design compatibility for melting snowemulsion asphalt.The studies have shown that the emulsion’s storage stability and material is the key tomicrocapsules of snowmelt agent. Indoor test and outdoor small experiment, field test iscrucial to the Microcapsules snowmelt seal before large-scale construction.
