Currently, the traffic problems become more prominent, which has caused great impact to social and economic development and people’s living standard, however, the BRT system has always been playing an increasingly important role in easing traffic pressure.In recent years,the BRT system of China develop rapidly,18cities have constructed and operated the BRT system until now, which put forward higher requirements for the construction and operation of BRT system.So, the evaluation on BRT Operational Performance will make us to understand the defects of BRT operations planning,Obtain scientific guidance and let other cities, which want to build BRT system, learn to better build the BRT system.what’s more,there will be a positive meaning in easing the country traffic pressure and the promotion of sustainable urban development.In this paper, we choose the BRT as the evaluation object.Firstly, there will provide theoretical support for the performance of the BRT, through a comprehensive analysis of the domestic and foreign research status, structure and features.Secondly,From the angle of the bus operators,constructing the index system from service quality, management level and operating environment of the BRT is very reasonable.And according to the characteristics and the methods of evaluation,it provides a basis for the application of evaluation method through the classification and standardization of the evaluation index system. Finally, element extension model,we provide, transform the indexes of operational performance evaluation of multiple objectives into single objective decision-making and qualitative analysis into the quantitative analysis.The operation of the method has a strong operability,what’s more,it can scientific response the performance level of BRT.In this paper, we take Guangzhou BRT as empirical subjects,two reasons as follows:One is the Guangzhou bus rapid transit system is the world’s longest bus station, and was the first in the world to take "direct service" of the mass rapid transit system and the first implementation of bus rapid transit system highly integrated with the subway and public bicycle system,and has achieved very good results in the domestic and foreign.Two is n the project "based on the Internet of city intelligent transportation application demonstration project evaluation system research", have carried on the investigation and study command and dispatch center of Guangzhou BRT.Therefore, this paper selected for the evaluation of Guangzhou bus rapid transit operation performance, not only it has a comprehensive understanding to the Guangzhou bus rapid transit operation condition, but also scientific reference to other city bus rapid transit.
