Abstract

Multimedia sound, pictures, animation in one advanced media being more and more college English teaching. The benefits of the use of multimedia assisted teaching is self-evident, but also found that a lot needs to be addressed or re-evaluate the problem. In recent years, people started to pay attention to these issues, and has done some of the relevant inquiry. However, reflective inquiry rare multimedia for the teaching of undergraduate English majors. Usually contact teachers and students outside the hospital, it is found that they have some of the views and arguments of multimedia teaching, the subject is generated in this case. The research methods such as questionnaires, interviews and quizzes observation of Guangxi Normal University, Guilin University of Electronic Technology Guilin University English major part of the teachers and students immediately survey twice. Through the investigation and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative dimension, the main problems in the English multimedia teaching: (1) courseware play faster, can not remember all the notes; (2) multi-media teaching between teachers and students emotional exchange reduced interpersonal dialogue into a man-machine dialogue; (3) multimedia courseware is often a material aggregation platform, is the electronic version of the traditional spoon-feeding teaching, so students or passive recipients of information; (4) multimedia teaching in a certain extent, is not conducive to the training and upgrading of the level of students' oral English. To solve these problems, this paper constructivist theory of multiple intelligences, Krashen's input assumptions, as well as our new English teaching \Proposed: (1) To further strengthen the training of teachers in the use of multimedia technology; (2) further to change the traditional way of teaching; (3) to further optimize the quality of the design of multimedia courseware; (4) further highlights the characteristics of a student-centered teaching . This thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter gives an overview of the necessity, purpose and significance of the study and pointed out that the overall structure of the paper. Chapter II is a literature review, a brief review of the course of development of the Computer Assisted Language Learning and multimedia teaching practice and research. Chapter 3 describes the entire process of the questionnaires, interviews and quizzes observation and presents survey data, information and analysis of results. The fourth chapter is the main part of the paper, mainly on the problems from the tube, to teach, to learn the three aspects to reflect and explore the related countermeasures. The fifth chapter is the conclusion.
