Abstract

English voice has always been an integral part of English teaching and research , and by more and more attention . In the study of the typical problems of Chinese students English voice , most studies focused on the contrast between the acoustic and pronunciation is excellent and poor pronunciation of English learners to native speakers and English learners segmental feature and suprasegmental features the comparative study of the characteristics of the very scarce . In this paper, a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods , First, a review of the current domestic and international study of native speakers and learners pronunciation contrast , in order to establish a six basic indicators (sound segment error , vocabulary errors , preposition , pause , pitch , tone) acoustic features contrast system ; then use the the traditional auditory analysis , and by means of acoustic analysis software Praat and ToBI labeling system 15 excellent pronunciation of English learners and 15 poor pronunciation of English learners voice for the collection , analysis and annotation , reveal the differences of the two groups of learners in the six basic indicators ; finally clarify the significance of the research on the teaching and learning of English voice , and the research assessment, problem and hope . The study found that: 1 ) excellent pronunciation of English learners and poor pronunciation of English learners in the voice segment errors , wrong word preposition relatively long pause frequency and location of a long sentence range , the fundamental frequency curve , adjusting and Nucleus selection were significantly different . 2) in the pronoun , pause the average length of time and short sentences range , excellent pronunciation of English learners and poor pronunciation of English learners was no significant difference . English learners and native speakers contrast , we found that the pause the average length of time can not be used to define the level of the learners ' English pronunciation , but when the preposition a certain relationship between the long and short sentences range and the level of learners ' English pronunciation . By understanding the pronunciation is excellent and poor pronunciation of English learners in the seven basic indicators of the acoustic characteristics of the differences , learners can more clearly their English pronunciation problem , English teachers will understand the the voice teaching not only concerned about the teaching of sound segments can pronunciation of English learners suprasegmental speech features should be taken seriously .
