Abstract

Language in endlessly evolving . In recent years , due to the development of science and technology and the impact of the political and economic life , our society has a huge change . As a tool for human communication and thinking , the language of these changes is very sensitive . People want to continue the exchange and reflection , we have to create new neologism to meet their own needs . The new word is a recently coined word or phrase , or an existing word or phrase a new additional meaning. Of the main choice in the emergence of new words in the last decade as a research corpus Some selected from the dictionary , such as to \the new word from the well-known websites , newspapers and magazines collected from these words are often not yet revenue has published a dictionary or monograph . This thesis consists of six chapters : The first chapter describes the significance of the topics of the corpus source and structure of the paper . Chapter 2 gives a new definition of the word and review of the results of previous studies . Chapters III and IV is the main part of this paper . The third chapter describes the word formation pattern and the main features of the new word . In the fourth chapter , the author , based on the field of use of new words are divided into seven sources , namely : science and technology , economics and politics , medicine and health , and environmental protection , pop culture , and education, daily life , network language , other . A brief analysis of this chapter of the main reason for the generation and dissemination of new words . The fifth chapter discusses some similarities between the differences in the interaction between the new words and social relations , and the new word of English and Chinese . Chapter VI concludes the paper . At present , English is the world language , the growing impact of the Chinese . Therefore , the authors hope that this study may have some practical value to students, teachers , translators and interpreters to provide some reference value to other researchers .
