Abstract


Linear motor is a new kind of industrial automation product, and there is no more cases and project experience in the initial marketing and applications. So it is necessary to analyze the selection of linear motor application in new project.First, this paper is based on an actual project. The problem of traditional solution of the project is analyzed, new solution——solution of linear motor which meets new requirements is proposed. Based on the actual characteristics of industrial project, traditional screw electric cylinder solution and linear motor new solution are compared and analyzed. Economic Evaluation (EV) and net present value analysis between the two solutions are conducted to draw a conclusion from economic aspect.Then, based on three aspects, i.e. technical performance, construction cost and operating cost, Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) is adopted to analyze and compare the optimization selection of the linear motor solution and traditional screw electric cylinder solution. The method includes construction of FAHP model, and nine-quantile scale, fuzzy judgment matrix consistency test and weight calculation. The result shows that the selection of new linear motor solution is superior, so the straight-line motor solution is suggested to be chosen.The linear motor solution is chosen in this project finally. This solution meets the requirement of the project from the actual implementation and commissioning and the project received high praise from customers. This research can provide a reference for similar projects.
