Abstract


As a brand new banking concept and service, Electronic banking (e-banking) has created an extremely important influence on the development of the banking sector, and it is bringing a revolutionary for the traditional banking industry with further changing banking services、management models and competition structure. Electronic banking business can customize a comprehensive, efficient and stable financial and cash management services for clients with features of openness, real-time, interactivity. A foreign bank study shows that:For a commercial bank,50% of clients who have only demand-deposit account would leave in 1 to 2 years; 30% of them who have only term-deposit account would leave; but there are only 1-2% of the customers who have the demand-deposit, term-deposit and online banking accounts at the same time might decide to leave. Obviously, the electronic banking business plays a very important role on maintaining customer and improving customer’s dependence.However, at the meanwhile, e-banking is a new concept in banking services. More unpredictable situations and problems that we have never experienced will be coming up in the courseof development. Especially, China’s electronic banking business starts lately and has the relatively backward technology and development. Therefore, we need to take a realistic approach to face and solve the new problems emerged. This article particularly researches and analyses the obvious issues in the developing process of e-banking business for ABC Liaoning branch by theory combining with practice method and the technology pathway of discovering problems, analyzing problems and resolving problems. Also, the development environment and strategic positioning of e-banking services in ABC Liaoning branch are analyzed with the usage of PEST approaches, Contest approaches and SWOT approaches. Throughout analysis, the paper puts forward the development conceiving in order to give some valuable and operable recommendations to the e-banking business development in Liaoning branch so that it can be in the leading position within competition.
