Abstract

Seven different types of large yellow croaker extruded feeds produced by Fujian DachangBiological Technology Co., Ltd. were discussed in this study. Swelling rate, the loss rate ofdissolution, Chemical Oxygen Demand(COD) and the concerntration of total nitrogen, totalphosphorus, ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen were measured to evaluate thestability of the series of feed and it’s effection on water quality. They all were to provide data forapplication and quality improvement of large yellow croaker feed in China. The swelling rate, the loss rate of dissolution and COD values were determined at differenttimes in first test. The results showed that the swelling rate, the loss rate of dissolution and CODwere immersed with time increasing. The effection of particle size on the swelling rate was largest inthe first one hour and smaller going with the time. The loss rate of dissolution of different types offeed was not very different at same time. And COD values of feed were increased slowly with thetime going. They were demonstrated that the effection of particle size on the loss rate of dissolutionand COD value was not significant.Total content of nitrogen and phosphorus of large yellow croaker feed were detected in thesecond test. The results showed that the concerntration of total nitrogen and phosphorus dissolved inwater were higer and higer when the particle size was smaller and smaller at the same time. It wasincreased significantly with the time going at the same size. And the largest quantity of increasingwas appeared at six hour, suggested the solution of total nitrogen and phosphorus mainly was in thefront six hours. The effection of large yellow croaker feed on ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen and nitritenitrogen were studied in the third test. The results showed that the concentration of the ammonianitrogen, nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen were increased with time increasing, and finally leveledoff. Ammonia nitrogen content rised slowly in0-12h, rapidly in12-24h and the most at30h. Nitratenitrogen content rised fastest in6-12h, decreased a littal at24h, and leveled off at30h.. Nitritenitrogen generated by0-3#feed rised rapidly in0-12h, but4-6#was12-24h. Most types of the feedremained unchanged after24hours.The results of full test showed that the particle size had a certain influence on the swelling rateand the concerntration of total nitrogen, total phosphorus, ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen andnitrite nitrogen, but the loss rate of dissolution and COD value were not significant. The feed withsmaller particle size had lower stability and effection on water quality. And the feed with larger particle size was converse。Seven different types of large yellow croaker feed produced by FujianDachang Biological Technology Co., Ltd. were stable relatively dissolved in water and so had ahigher value.
