China is porcelain kingdom; it’s also one of the earliest countrieswhich knows how to brew wine in the world. Ceramic wine set as theamalgamation of both porcelain and wine culture bear the weight ofChinese five thousand years history and comprehension of wine culture.Although ceramic wine set appeared in the Neolithic Age, porcelain wineset was developed in the Eastern Han Dynasty and further promoted inWei Jin period, it began to prosperous until to the Song dynasty. Theclassical style, beautiful decoration, exquisite craftwork and intensiveculture of Tang Song ceramic wine set present not only the visualenjoyment of beauty, but also is a culture banquet. The winy aroma ispermeated in the entire Chinese cultural history.This paper is based on the research of aesthetics and culture of TangSong dynastic ceramic wine set and then to explore the developmentaland innovational method of ceramic wine set design in contemporarytimes. Firstly, understand the sort of category and function of ceramicwine set. Secondly, summarize the aesthetics characteristics of Tang Songdynastic ceramic wine set from its style, decoration and craftwork.Furthermore, enumerate the representative Tang Song dynastic ceramic wine set and then analyzing its characteristics and discussing its culturalbackground. Finally, the recent development of ceramic wine set wasanalyzed in this paper, the issues about the ceramic wine set design incontemporary times were found out and resolved, analyzing the creationand application of the design concept, aesthetics and culture of TangSong dynastic ceramic wine set in recent times, probing a creative anddevelopmental way of wine culture. All of the research results will besorted out and spread out in times, which can be used for references ofdevelopment of collage teaching and ceramic production, injecting newnutrition to the contemporary ceramic design, improving our competitionability of ceramic wine pack production in international market.
