According to cognitive linguistics and cognitive psychology study shows, people often take time and space as the two basic starting point to things cognitive abstract. Therefore, the study of directional words has very important significance to human cognition. In modern Japanese language, "on / off" is a typical representative of orientation words and the use of very high frequency. In addition, the metaphorical meaning of Japanese "on / off" involved in the field is very extensive, including quality, quantity, social position, time sequence. Therefore, extensive research on many domestic and foreign scholars in the Japanese "on / off" metaphorical meaning, and have achieved certain results, but the research is still focused on the meaning, usage of Sino Japanese comparison, there are very few studies involving Japanese Chinese translation of "up / down" of the metaphorical meaning. Therefore, there is very important significance to carry out research on Japanese "on / off" Chinese translation of metaphorical meaning. This paper is based on the existing research foundation, using the Beijing Japan Science Center in writing on translation corpus, this theme around the Japanese Chinese translation of "up / down" of the metaphorical meaning, mainly carried out the following research: to inspect 1 of Japanese "on / off J in the word and part of speech of the characteristics. Word formation ability of Japanese r on / off "is quite strong, can form new words and many other morpheme. In these words, word component undertake Japanese "on / off", part of speech is not the same. In this study, with Japanese "on / off" words into independent type, combination type, inspected the conjunctive type, mixed type four kind of forms of words, part of speech is mainly from the noun, adjective, verb and noun forms are discussed. Empirical research on 2 Japanese "on / off" of the Chinese translation of metaphorical meaning. First, based on the research in the first, the metaphorical meaning of Japanese "up / down" into that quality, quantity and degree, social status and class, time class four, then the translation of each meaning of the empirical analysis, and then examine the propensity of Japanese "on / off" the metaphorical meaning in Chinese English translation. 3 from the language behavior and social behavior of translation perspective, translation strategy to explore the Japanese "on / off" of the metaphorical meaning. This paper draws the following three conclusions through above analysis method. Firstly, with the development of society, the Japanese "on / off" by human self body experience, affect the physical and social experience and so on, has been extended from the said quality, quantity, social status, the time before and after various metaphorical meanings. The Chinese translation of Japanese "on" multi translated into said active, positive word, Japanese "under the" multi translated into said the negative, negative words. Secondly, the translation of language behavior theory and points out that the elements of language and translation, semantic structure, vocabulary, grammar and other linguistic forms are inseparable, between the original and the translation from lexical level needed to achieve equivalent to context level. There are many Japanese "on / off" the forms of words, semantic will also according to the conversation scene changes. Therefore, translation in the metaphorical meanings of Japanese "on / off", consideration should be given to the Japanese context and semantic, context in lexical forms use habits and other factors. Finally, according to the translation of social behavior theory, translation is not only the transformation between different languages, but also with the national cultural, social, political and other aspects of the values and the cognitive style are inseparable. The metaphorical meaning of Japanese "on / off" contains cultural and cognitive style of Japanese society in various fields. Therefore, the translation must grasp the social good behind the language. This paper through analysis of metaphor cognition, Japanese "on / off" embodied in and the cultural connotation and our culture are on the whole the same. Therefore, translation in the metaphorical meanings of Japanese "on / off", basically is translatable, and use literal translation, free translation and translation are less likely.
