With the rapid development of world economy, politics, culture, in a variety of different culture background for communication with different languages people become more and more frequent. Different cultural exchange is the collision between different cultures communicate, so inevitably there exist all kinds of obstacles, these obstacles will often result in misunderstanding is itself with different cultural backgrounds, or their own want to express intentions would convey to each other. This misunderstanding usually includes two kinds, one kind is due to language problems, such as: mistakes in pronunciation, word errors, grammatical mistakes; another reason is the pragmatic aspects of their different cultural backgrounds lead to misunderstanding, even the pronunciation and grammar and words are correct, will eventually cause misunderstanding. No matter what kind of reason is caused by the misunderstanding of cultural exchanges, will cause the bad results, will lead to communication failure. Causes for the former language problems of misunderstanding, the exchange may be through the strengthening of the language learning and practice and improve. For the latter a pragmatic misunderstanding, Thomas (1983) is called pragmatic failure. To avoid pragmatic failure is not through the learning and memory can be simple to improve. But to each exchange carefully summarize the reasons of pragmatic failure, for its own development strategy according to their own habits of communication. Pragmatic failure is the so-called "cannot understand each other talking intention". In exchange, if only to understand each other's language level information, did not understand each other's intentions, namely pragmatic failures that occurred, the exchange can not be called a successful communication. Interpretation as a means of cross-cultural communication, cultural differences between the front line in the communication plays an important role of a bridge. There is no bridge on both sides of the river, people can not exchange; no translator, people with different languages cannot exchange. It is the role of a bridge, the translators must enrich the bilingual knowledge itself, having the ability of cross culture communication. Including language knowledge, including the knowledge of pragmatics. Long term since, the study of interpretation has been limited to the linguistic competence and interpreting skills level, many studies only from the perspective of interpreting, recently, there are many scholars to study interpretation method with the help of other subjects. However, in interpreting studies and practice, cultural and pragmatic factors are rarely involved. However, interpreting is a cross-cultural communication behavior, there are a variety of cultural differences between the different culture, different language also exists between the pragmatic differences. It is because of these cultural differences and pragmatic differences, lead the translator will be pragmatic transfer in interpretation of the time. Pragmatic transfer lead the translator will form the wrong understanding of the cultural differences of the source language information in the interpretation time, lead to erroneous interpretation, eventually led to the failure of communication. The causes of pragmatic transfer is due to the lack of translation, and the lack of cross-cultural awareness in interpreting the translator when usually imperceptible, etc. eventually lead to time pragmatic failure led to the failure of communication will be aware of. So the translator needs to pay attention to the cultivation of their cross-cultural awareness and avoid pragmatic failure pragmatic translation ability. This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter reviews the previous studies on cross-cultural communication, pragmatic failure and pragmatic translation. On the communication of different cultures, most scholars have been aware of and advocate when studying and teaching a second language, we should pay attention to cultivate the cultural idea. On pragmatic failure is proposed, after the notion of pragmatic failure in the Jenny Thomas, many scholars have conducted research on the teaching of pragmatic failure, will contact with second language, analyzes the causes of pragmatic failure, and how to avoid pragmatic errors in the use of the second foreign language communication. On pragmatic translation, scholars both at home and abroad in translation behavior how to avoid pragmatic failure in translation method was studied. The second chapter on the relationship between pragmatic use the release study of pragmatic interpretation theory and pragmatic theory and interpretation. This paper discusses. Pragmatics is the study of the process of speaker using language and external context expression of meaning, and the importance of the dynamic characteristics of oral communication: while interpreting is research related to language comprehension and expression. So, learn to explore the research object of interpreting pragmatics focuses on oral English pragmatic theories, so the use of pragmatic interpretation research can broaden the interpretation research viewpoint. Then this paper expounds the present situation of the concept of pragmatic failure and pragmatic failures of Chinese and Japanese translation in the. The third chapter analyzes the causes of pragmatic failure, and focus on the Chinese interpreter for Japanese translation of pragmatic failure is how to produce are analyzed. This chapter uses the examples of the approach, the process of pragmatic failure Japanese Chinese translation and Chinese Japanese translation interpretation in detail, the purpose is through the different cultural exchanges between the two sides on the understanding and psychological activity of the language, to clarify the pragmatic failure is how it happened, and suggestions to avoid pragmatic failure. The fourth chapter pragmatic failure of the interpreter may in interpreting discourse how to deal with do a simple exposition. As an interpreter of Sino Japanese communication bridges, to make different nationality, different nationalities, different social strata, different regions of the Chinese and Japanese in the communication between each other, won't appear non speaker's intention misunderstood, understand and learn the proper method of avoid pragmatic failure is essential. This chapter proposes to avoid pragmatic failure in interpretation, the interpreter needs to improve the communication of different cultures of consciousness and improve the ability of pragmatic interpretation of its own.
