Therefore, the in-depth study of drum dance of Xiangxi Miao nationality, completes the inheritance, protection and development, related to many aspects, such as:the Xiangxi Miao sandwiches education, history, religion, customs, ethnic change etc.. The drum dance of Xiangxi as a traditional folk art and sports activities, collection of music, sports, art as a whole, highlight the national and artistic characteristics of the two, loved by the masses. Nowadays, with the rapid economic development and changes in lifestyle, people’s understanding of national dance and the mode of inheritance has also undergone a great change. Under the background of the new culture, the characteristics of the drum dance of Miao nationality status value of survival needs to rethink, to adapt to the development of the local economy, culture and people of all ethnic groups of the growing demands of cultural life.This article attempts from the sociology and cultural anthropology perspective, research methods of comprehensive application of cultural anthropology. First of all, through the literature focus on the basic concept of the drum dance of Miao Xiangxi, clear and summarize previous research results and experience to establish his research with. Secondly, by using the method of field investigation of Xiangxi Miao areas of interview and questionnaire survey to understand the relevant personnel, Xiangxi Miao inspired by the historical origin, the main form, transmission mode, main characteristics and survival status, and experience in the field study and sentiment inspired artistic value and social culture value. Caifeng after the end of the main problems facing the survival of the drum dance of Miao nationality were analyzed, including the impact of diversity of modern entertainment, heritage protection consciousness is weak, the inheritance interrupt crisis, economic constraints. And proposes the development countermeasure of Miao’s drum dance in Xiangxi on the basis of the analysis, including the implementation of strategies to protect against shock, multiple; guiding strategy, to enhance awareness of protection; promotion strategy, to ensure that the inheritance constantly; investment strategies, tamp the development foundation.This study involves sociology, cultural anthropology, history, art and other cross multidisciplinary integration, is a complicated and arduous task. How to find their own unique entry point for the based on previous research, and based on the first-hand investigation data, the real value of Miao’s drum dance in Xiangxi is the value of this study.
