Abstract


The act of revenge appeared in ancient china and continued to exist without anyprohibited sign．It must be having its historical reasons and ideological foundation．Untilthe Western Zhou Dynasty，it becomes a system．In Spring and Autumn Period，eachschool of thought has a different view of the system of revenge．Confucian praised highlythe revenge because of the filiality and righteousness.However，Legalism thought therevenge must be limited or prohibited．Facing the conflict between affection，rite and law，one can find different ways to solve this problem for each person in every dynasty．Tostudy the system of revenge，we can find the positive significance and the handlingmechanism in the contemporary．
