Abstract


With higher and faster development of mobile internet technologies, using information technologies to improve the development of education becomes more importantly and easier, our life is full of learning media and learning terminals. Meanwhile, due to strong mobility, good portability, high holding rate and other features smart phone is definitely an ideal platform for mobile learning. In a sense, high school students can use smart phone doing informal learning, anywhere and anytime, which is a good supplement for the formal learning in the classroom.Micro-content is a new presentation of information, which makes the existing forms and organization of information more diverse, presentation and interaction more dynamic. Mobile Learning and micro-learning are the two new learning modes with the development of digital learning, which both have been showing the educational value as the new media. This paper attempts to combine these two angles that Android smart phone system as mobile platform presents some miniature language learning modules for high school students. Its mobility can meet the anywhere learning needs of dynamic students, and its miniature is good for students to use fragmented time to learn anytime. Then high school students can follow their own learning needs to learn.Firstly this paper describes the background and significance of the study, current research, research methods and main content.Secondly, the paper introduces the concept and character of micro-learning and mobile learning, elaborates the relevant theoretical foundation, and explores the spatial structure of the mobile micro-learning system.Thirdly, the paper describes the architecture and functions of Android system, and the advantages of Android system as mobile learning platform. By a detailed feature analysis of the Android mobile App called "language recite", this paper points out its implications for mobile micro-learning.Then, this paper describes the design and development of mobile micro-learning system. Design specifically includes requirements analysis, instructional design, overall design, detailed design and database design of each module. And development includes building development environment and implementation of the main functions module.Finally, this paper summarizes the innovation and shortcomings, and expressed my personal expectations.
